A Portal to An Enchanting Forest
When our sweet couple, Melana and Jake, first reached out, the introduction came through someone who knows weddings exceptionally well—Melana’s sister, a well-known wedding photographer (Mashaida) helping the couple find the right creative partner for their day.
Melana had long dreamed of an intimate wedding beneath towering greenery, while Jake hoped for a waterside celebration. They found the perfect balance at The Broadmoor, one of the most iconic Colorado Springs wedding venues.
We led guests to the lakeside ceremony with aisle markers that felt like woodland meadow vignettes and framed the mountain view with a lush, wild arch inspired by the floral appliqué on Melana’s gown and veil.
For the reception, we transformed the space into a moody enchanted forest. Pillowy draping reset the room, layered greenery climbed the walls, evergreen-scented candlelight flickered throughout, and textural linens echoed the feeling of tree bark. Romantic chandeliers added a soft glow overhead, creating a canopy above the organic, caterpillar-style table layout.
Custom paper goods, designed in-house by us (Landfall) with copper leaf details, reflected light around the room and brought a subtle luminosity to contrast the moody atmosphere.
